Supervisory Board remuneration in 2012. The remuneration of the Supervisory Board is determined by the Shareholders’ Meeting of Daimler AG and is governed by the Company’s Articles of Incorporation. The new regulations for Supervisory Board remuneration approved by the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting in April 2011 specify that the members of the Supervisory Board receive, in addition to the refund of their expenses and the cost of any value-added tax incurred by them in performance of their office, fixed remuneration of €100,000. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board receives an additional €200,000 and the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board receives an additional €100,000. The members of the Audit Committee are paid an additional €50,000, the members of the Presidential Committee are paid an additional €40,000 and the members of the other committees of the Supervisory Board are paid an additional €20,000; one exception is the Chairman of the Audit Committee, who is paid an additional €100,000. Additional payments are made for activities in a maximum of three committees; any persons who are members of more than three such committees receive additional payments for the three most highly paid functions. Members of a Supervisory Board committee are only entitled to remuneration for such membership if the committee has actually convened to fulfill its duties in the respective year. The individual remuneration of the members of the Supervisory Board is shown in the table. (See table 3.46)
